Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and cream cheese until creamy and smooth.
Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until a dough forms.
Scoop small portions of dough and roll into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheets.
Press gently with a fork or the bottom of a glass to flatten slightly.
