Season chickpeas: Transfer chickpeas to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Add smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.

Roast chickpeas: Spread chickpeas in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overlapping. Roast in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Cool: Remove from oven and let chickpeas cool on baking sheet. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
