I always threw away the cap of the oil bottle – a colleague explained to me what it was actually for.

Carefully remove the cap.
When opening a new oil bottle, the opening is usually sealed with a small plastic cap. This is easy to remove. Instead of throwing it away, carefully remove it and keep it—you’ll need it later.
Place the cap upside down on the bottle.
Turn the cap upside down and place it upside down on the bottle. Most cap styles fit perfectly this way, forming a nozzle that controls the oil flow.
