Make your own insect traps: simple and effective
The Vinegar Trap: Fatal Attraction
Here’s a classic, effective remedy against flies and midges. You’ll need:
2 to 3 cm of cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar
A few drops of dishwashing liquid
A bowl and cling film
A toothpick
In a bowl, mix the vinegar and dish soap. Cover with plastic wrap and poke small holes in the bowl. The fruity scent attracts insects, which become trapped and drown.
Tip: To increase effectiveness, place a piece of ripe fruit in the bowl. It’s the perfect bait!
